Mission Statement

Our goal is to produce stadium seating of exceptional quality and characteristics, so as to produce comfort and support for the fan the entire duration of the sporting event. 

History

Ultimate Comfort Seating is a brand new company, although it has been in my mindset for many years. I’m Jack Gibbons, and I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan where all the elite Contract Office Furniture manufacturers of the world are located. For many years I sold those manufacturers molded urethane foam to be used in their most expensive chairs.  Molding foam is making one part at a time, in a very costly tool. It’s expensive, but produces the most comfortable and resilient type of foam available in the world for seating. That’s because density, shape and ILD can be controlled for each piece, every time. 

I used to have prototypes and old pieces around my home office of various sizes. A few years back, I picked one that had the right thickness, and cut it into a piece that was 18" x 9".  That’s the size of the area you’re given to sit on a bleacher at a Big 10 football game.   I tucked it under my arm and went to the game.  I was amazed at how comfortable it was. NO “bottoming out” of the cushion, great back support for the entire game, and warm to sit on as the foam doesn’t transfer cold. I let several of my football buddies in the general vicinity have a “test” sit. Everyone loved it.  Four years later, I still have my first seat.  It’s been to a lot of football games since that first one, plus basketball, baseball, canoeing and even a NASCAR race. It’s a little dirty as it has no cover, but it has held it’s shape, and provides the same comfort as the day I first used it. 

Ever since that first day, I’ve always wanted to bring a molded foam bleacher seat to market. The reasons are simple.  It works, and nobody else offers it.  Everybody else uses fabricated foam because it's less expensive.  Problem is, it doesn't work.  It just "bottoms out".  Furniture grade molded urethane foam gives long term support and comfort.  It works.  With a little push from an old college buddy and one of my dearest friends, we decided to just do it.   So in August 2008, the company was born.  We got our first fan response from a test market we did at a Michigan State/Wisconsin football game in East Lansing in November.  We were stunned by the great comments we received back.  Ninety eight percent ( 98% ) of the fans either loved it or liked it, with the vast majority loving it.  You can see their responses in our "Testimonials" link.  When you sit on our seat, you’ll say “Why didn’t anyone do this before”?  We’re starting with a bleacher seat, but plan on developing other seating products in the near future.  We will deliver the most comfortable sports seating products available.  At the majority of sporting events, most of the fans sit on bleachers. Our products will make that a comfortable experience for the first time, and every time thereafter.  Our motto is "We Create Happy Cheeks", and we mean it.   Thanks for visiting our website.
